REAL ESTATE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

NEW REQUIREMENTS - 01/01/2006

1) 18 years or older and a legal resident of Texas at the time of
    application

2) Course Requirements:
   
Salesman:
    210 classroom hours (at least 60 hours must be in Principles of
    Real Estate; 30 hours must be in Law of Agency, 30 hours must
    be in Law of Contracts, and 30 hours in elective CORE course.
    The remaining hours can be CORE or related.)

 
  Broker:
    Must have two years active licensure in the past three years and
    meet the current educational requirements of 900 classroom hours
    (including hours obtained toward a salesman's license of which,
    270 hours must be CORE credit.)

3) Submit application meeting the above requirements to the Texas
    Real Estate Commission through your sponsoring broker.

4) Pass the state licensing exam.
